Mobile camp questions, answered.
A Ker & Downey mobile camp is a full luxury camp — large en-suite tents, a mess tent, proper beds and hot showers — that our crew erects for you alone in a hand-picked wilderness, then strikes and moves to the next location, leaving the bush exactly as it was found.
We pitch across Kenya’s great wildlife areas — the Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Samburu, Laikipia, Tsavo and the northern frontier — and beyond, wherever the wildlife and the season lead. Your guide chooses the exact sites based on where the game is at that moment.
Accommodation in your private camp, all meals and drinks, your dedicated guide and vehicle, game drives and camp activities, and the full attention of your camp crew. We tailor everything around your party.
Each tent has its own en-suite with a flushing or safari toilet and a hot bucket-shower drawn whenever you like. Nothing is shared with other guests — the camp is exclusively yours.
Very much so. There is no minimum age; we can provide a dedicated nanny, child-friendly meals and activities, and arrange the camp layout around young families.
A maximum of four guests per vehicle, so everyone has a window seat and an unobstructed view. Your guide stays with you throughout the safari.
